Updated for current needs on MSTR infra upgrade

 

  • 8 to 10 Years of experience.
  • Install and configure the MicroStrategy components on non-production and production environments.
  • Allocate, delete, and modify BI environment as required.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure team during adaptive maintenance (hardware changes, software patches, tool upgrades) of Data Integration environment components for nonproduction and production environment
  • Assign / Maintain MicroStrategy Environment Security Roles
  • Install and troubleshoot MicroStrategy installations (System Manager, Command Manager, Package Migration) on Linux ( on AWS EC2)
  • Experience with Windows batch scripts a big plus, even more if there's experience converting them to Linux shell scripts

 

My goals for this project:

 

Set up a MicroStrategy utility server on a Linux-based EC2 in the Dev environment, make sure current functionality of the Windows OS util server is replicated, document the setup process and all configuration needed

Set up a MicroStrategy utility server on a Linux-based EC2 in the QA environment, make sure current functionality of the Windows OS util server is replicated, document the setup process and all configuration needed

Prepare a plan to do the same in Prod (may or may not be able to execute on that step, depending on production freeze timing) 

 

If we can get the first part, setup in dev, documentation, and an understanding of how to convert scripts, etc. to work on a Linux OS system, I will be happy. If we can get the same in QA and/or Prod, even better, but I wouldn't extend the project just to get it done through production, once the team knows what to do and how to do it, they should be able to replicate across environments.
