As a Technical Product Manager you will have a passionate interest and exceptional abilities in the envisioning, discovery, design, and development of engaging experiences for learners, instructors and administrators. You will operate in an environment that requires excellent problem-solving skills and exceptional team collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills. You will individually focus on applying creative and analytical approaches to any challenge, leveraging both your team’s input and that of the user. You will be in constant collaboration with UX, Engineering, and Product Management.

The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is a results-oriented individual with a passion and capability for creating high-quality learning solutions, on-time, on-scope, and on-quality. The TPM is an advocate for customer-empathetic software, able to promote teamwork and knowledge sharing, and demonstrate thoughtful collaboration with customers and stakeholders across multiple business units.

The TPM partners with business unit product managers in the design, development, and implementation of digital learning solutions. The TPM is responsible for driving the successful delivery of product and/or platform iterations to the market. The TPM is responsible for helping their product, content, and/or platform team(s) to define, manage, and implement innovative digital products and platform functionalities that are uniquely responsive to market demands and MH priorities.

The TPM acts as the conscience of the product, prioritizing the needs of customers against available resources to deliver viable solutions that will succeed in the market and improve learning for students, instructors, and institutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Draft project charters, requirements, agile epics, and stories; maintain backlog with high quality stories, acceptance criteria, and current priority.

• Partner with leadership group (LG) to deliver roadmap commitments on-time, on-scope, on-quality.

• Work with Technical Product Managers (TPMs) to ensure cross team dependencies are identified, understood by all affected teams, and then properly managed. Support the TPMs in cross-team collaboration and coordination that result in a successful end-to-end user experience.

• Participate in scrum ceremonies to ensure that there is an understanding of the user stories, enabling sizing and task breakdown to occur, and maximizing team productivity.

• Communicate with technical teams and business stakeholders, including managing expectations, scope, and prioritization of work.

• Partner with engineering, product owners, user experience, project management, and QA to investigate, document, and maintain business and technical processes.

• Work with Product Owners to align your product vision and strategy to company objectives.

• Get your hands dirty – doing any job on the team necessary to build and ship a successful product.

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years of experience in agile software product development, particularly in platform and applications development and/or website design and development.

• Experience with user story writing, use case diagram development, wireframe and design analysis, business/ecommerce/SaaS application analysis, and backlog management.

• Ability to understand and transform technical concepts into non-technical terms that are understandable by business and customer stakeholders and teams.

• Demonstrated leadership potential to effectively work across multiple teams, business units, and stakeholders.

• Deadlineconscious, resultsdriven, and highperforming in a highintensity environment

• Acute attention to detail, the ability to analyze complex systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational communication skills; must be able to communicate with technical teams and business stakeholders, as well as clearly document software for these audiences.

• Demonstrated people skills; must be able to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities and skill sets, remote teams in various time zones, and enjoy constructive conflict.

• Technical prowess – you don’t need to code, but you shouldn’t be afraid of diving into technical issues.
