Area(s) of responsibility
- Strong experience in API testing by translating user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements into reusable test scenarios.
- Analyze Swagger specifications and backend contracts to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and validation points.
- Utilize Postman for exploratory testing, collections creation, and quick validations.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated API test suites primarily using Karate DSL and knowledge in other frameworks Rest Assured, Pytest is an added advantage.
- Implement scalable, data-driven, modular API automation frameworks following best practices, managing environments and test data, incorporating service mocks.
- Build CI/CD-integrated automation suites (Jenkins) for continuous API validation.
- Execute automated API tests and ensure proper reporting, logging, and traceability.
- Identify, log, track defects, perform root cause analysis and validating fixes.
- Collaborate with development teams, participate in reviews, and proactively identify API design gaps to improve testability and quality.
- Mentor junior engineers in API automation, Karate DSL, and framework design.
