Manual QA Tester

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of applications in a large-scale Application Modernization project. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manual testing processes and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
•    Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
•    Identify, document, and track software defects using defect tracking tools.
•    Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
•    Validate application functionality against business requirements and technical specifications.
•    Provide clear and concise test results and reports to stakeholders.
•    Participate in test planning, estimation, and prioritization activities.
•    Ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
•    Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., ALM Octane, JIRA, Bugzilla).
•    Knowledge of API testing tools like Ready API, Postman.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
•    Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
•    Experience in Application Modernization projects.
•    Basic understanding of automation and performance testing tools and frameworks.
•    ISTQB certification or equivalent is a bonus.
