Job Title: Senior Manual Tester

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manual Tester with a strong background in manual testing methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in testing applications, with a particular emphasis on using Postman for API testing. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively within a team to ensure that our automotive software solutions meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for manual testing of software applications.
• Utilize Postman to perform API testing, ensuring that all endpoints function as expected and meet the specified requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
• Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to provide input on testability and quality aspects.
• Conduct regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on best practices in manual testing.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
• Proficiency in using Postman for API testing.
• Experience in writing clear and concise test cases and defect reports.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation testing tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools.
• Understanding of the automotive industry and related software applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in manual testing, with a focus on API testing using Postman.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
