low-code strategy. You will be responsible for building rapidly scalable internal tools and business
applications while maintaining professional-grade quality, security, and infrastructure standards. This role
sits at the intersection of software engineering, product management, and business analysis, ensuring
immediate business impact.

5. Key Responsibilities –
Key Responsibilities of Retool Platform Engineer:
Platform Architecture & Infrastructure:
Manage Retool instances across environments (development, staging, production).
Configure authentication, permissions (RBAC), and security settings.
Set up secure database connections and integrate third-party APIs.
Optimize application and query performance.
DevOps & Governance:
Implement Git integration and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Establish development standards, design patterns, and best practices.
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues.
Application Development (Build Phase):
Design responsive user interfaces using Retool’s tools and custom CSS/components.
Write backend logic using JavaScript, Python, and SQL.
Build automated processes with Retool Workflows (e.g., background jobs, ETL tasks).
Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs and create custom data transformers.
Business Analysis & Collaboration:
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Rapidly prototype solutions and iterate based on feedback.
Identify opportunities for automation and workflow optimization.
Operations & Support (Run Phase):
Provide user support and resolve reported issues.
Maintain integrations, update access, and apply security patches.
Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
