Title:  Subcon - Windchill PLM Test Engineer

This role will be responsible for defining, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies for Windchill PLM implementations, enhancements, and integrations. The candidate will collaborate closely with the Enterprise PLM team, PLM architects, developers, Strategic Business Unit (SBU) champions, and IT delivery teams to validate end-to-end PLM functionality, integrations, and business processes.

Responsibilities
• Support the Enterprise PLM testing strategy and quality vision across Windchill implementations and upgrades.
• Collaborate with PLM architects, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
• Design, develop, and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance test cases for Windchill modules.
• Validate Windchill configurations, customizations, workflows, lifecycles, access controls, and data integrity.
• Perform end-to-end testing of Windchill integrations with upstream CAD systems and downstream ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and JDE.
• Ensure data synchronization accuracy across PLM–ERP integrations including Part, BOM, Change Management, and Document objects.
• Log, track, prioritize, and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
• Manage test planning, execution, metrics, and traceability using qTest or similar test management tools.
• Support defect triage discussions and collaborate with development teams to drive root cause analysis and resolution.
• Ensure ownership and accountability to close testing gaps and maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Support initiatives to improve testing efficiency, reduce rework, and accelerate delivery of business value.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of PLM testing standards, processes, and best practices.
• Proactively identify risks related to quality, integrations, and business impacts and communicate them to key stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience testing PTC Windchill PLM implementations and enhancements.
• Strong understanding of Windchill architecture and PLM business processes in industrial manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience testing Windchill PDMLink  modules including workflows, lifecycles, versioning, and access control.
• Proven experience testing Windchill integrations with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle ERP, JDE (JD Edwards), or similar platforms.
• Experience validating CAD data management processes involving Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Testing & Tool Skills:
• Strong experience with test management tools such as qTest for test case authoring, execution, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience using JIRA for defect tracking, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing methodologies.
• Understanding of data migration, bulk load, and data validation testing in Windchill environments.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation is a plus.
Other Requirements:
• BS/B.E. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
