Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA and Artificial Intelligence to design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions for SAP business use cases. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP architecture, strong ABAP development skills, and hands-on experience integrating modern AI/ML technologies, including large language models (LLMs), into enterprise workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-powered solutions tailored to SAP business processes (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, etc.)
- Build and enhance SAP S/4HANA applications using ABAP (RAP, CDS Views, OData services, enhancements, BAdIs)
- Integrate SAP systems with external AI/ML services and platforms
- Develop and manage middleware or APIs for seamless data exchange between SAP and AI components
- Work with multiple LLMs and AI frameworks to implement intelligent automation, chatbots, and decision-support systems
- Develop and maintain Python-based services for AI orchestration and data processing
- Design, deploy, and manage MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers or similar AI orchestration layers
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure scalability, security, and performance of integrated solutions
- Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and SAP innovations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in SAP development, with strong focus on SAP S/4HANA
- Proficiency in ABAP, including:
- RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
- CDS Views, AMDP, OData services
- Enhancements, BAdIs, and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience in integrating SAP with external systems via APIs, middleware, or cloud platforms
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience working with AI/ML solutions, especially:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Prompt engineering and model orchestration
- Experience with MCP servers or similar AI integration/orchestration frameworks
- Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) is a plus
- Understanding of enterprise architecture and data flows in SAP ecosystems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in deploying AI solutions in production environments
- Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with SAP AI Core / AI Launchpad
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
