Area(s) of responsibility

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Workday integrations for HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, and downstream applications.
  • Build and maintain complex integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, and web services.
  • Develop and optimize Workday custom reports, advanced reports, matrix reports, and calculated fields to support business requirements.
  • Analyze existing eTime integrations and recommend modernization or retirement strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Business, and Technical teams to gather requirements and provide integration solutions.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support end-to-end testing, UAT, deployment, and post-production stabilization activities.
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, compliance, and audit readiness across Workday integrations.
  • Create and maintain technical design documents, integration specifications, and support documentation.
  • Participate in integration architecture discussions and recommend best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–10 years of IT experience with at least 5+ years of Workday Integration experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
    • Workday Studio
    • Workday Reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite Reports)
    • Calculated Fields
    • EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder)
    • Core Connectors
    • Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs)
    • XML, XSLT, JSON, and data transformation techniques
  • Experience integrating Workday with Payroll, Time Management, Benefits, and third-party applications.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM business processes and security concepts.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning of Workday integrations.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with PECI (Payroll Effective Change Interface).
  • Experience supporting Time & Attendance/eTime retirement or migration projects.
  • Knowledge of payroll integrations and downstream payroll systems.
  • Exposure to Workday Extend, Prism Analytics, or other Workday modules.
  • Workday Integration certification is a plus.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant Workday certifications would be an added advantage.
