Job description:

 Windows Server Management role with high emphasis on batch scripting should focus on maintaining, optimizing, and automating Windows server operations, ensuring stability, and supporting system users through advanced troubleshooting and scripting.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation tasks using Batch scripting, as well as related technologies such as PowerShell, WMI, and VBScript.

• Create, debug, and deploy batch scripts for operational, maintenance, diagnostic, and configuration tasks across multiple systems.

• Perform systems management, including tuning for high availability setups.

• Provide support for incidents, requests, problems, and changes via a ticketing system.

• Collaborate with application and development teams as 3rd level support for application and server issues.

• Plan and implement server upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure reliability and security.

• Participate in on-call rotations for real-time system support and emergency management.

Required Skills

• Advanced knowledge of batch scripting techniques for automating Windows server tasks (file management, system monitoring, scheduled maintenance, network tasks).

• Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and security principles.

• Experience with additional scripting languages (PowerShell, VBScript, Perl) for broader automation.

• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with ability to analyze logs, system performance, and server health.

• Knowledge of backup, restore, disaster recovery procedures, and server topology planning.
