Role & Responsibilities
- Validate data extracted, transformed, and loaded (ETL) from source systems to data warehouse/data marts
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and balancing between source and target systems
- Write complex SQL queries to verify data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
- Test ETL mappings, transformations, and business rules
- Perform end-to-end ETL testing, including source to target, incremental loads, and full loads
- Execute data quality checks (nulls, duplicates, referential integrity, data type mismatches)
- Perform regression, smoke, and system testing for ETL workflows
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools
- Collaborate with ETL developers, business analysts, and data teams to resolve issues
- Validate performance of ETL jobs and handle large data volumes
