Title: Workday Integration - Subcontractor

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Integration Engineer with extensive hands‑on experience in building, optimizing, and deploying complex integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, Workday APIs, and Cloud Integration frameworks.
This role is fully technical, focused on architecture, development, performance engineering, and troubleshooting—not functional consulting.
Technical Responsibilities
1. Workday Studio & Advanced IntegrationsDesign and develop high‑complexity Workday Studio integrations, including:Custom multi‑step orchestration workflowsReal-time APIsLarge-volume file processingError-handling frameworks and exception managementBuild scalable components using:XSLT, XQuery, XPathMVEL, Java-based plugins (Workday-supported)Integration event triggers and listeners
2. Core Integration DevelopmentBuild and optimize integrations using:Core Connectors (CCB, CCW, PICOF/PECOF)Document Transformation (DT)Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB – Inbound/Outbound)Implement delta processing, change detection logic, and effective sequencing.
3. API & Web Services EngineeringDevelop integrations using:Workday REST APIsSOAP Web ServicesWorkday Public Web Services (PWWS)Build middleware pipelines consuming Workday APIs for high-throughput systems.Apply API authentication models including:OAuth 2.0Certificate-based authenticationWSDL/SOAP security
4. Integration Architecture & Solutioning (Nice to have)Interpret raw technical requirements and design:File-based integrationsEvent-driven integrationsReal-time synchronous servicesCreate sequence diagrams, mapping sheets, and architecture flow diagrams.Propose scalable, fault-tolerant integration models using Workday Cloud Platform tools.
5. Data Engineering within Workday (Must Have)Work with large datasets (XML, JSON, CSV) and build transformation logic.Implement data encryption:PGP encryptionSFTP/FTPS connectionsEnsure compliant, secure data transmission pipelines.
6. Performance Engineering (Nice to have)Conduct throughput analysis, memory optimization, Studio job performance tuning.Reduce job runtimes via:ParallelizationBatch processingDependency managementImplement monitoring, alerting, and error‑handling frameworks.
7. Testing & Deployment Engineering (Nice to have)Develop detailed unit test scripts, SIT/UAT support, and automated test cycles.Perform deployment activities via:Workday DTTenant migrationsEnd‑to‑end regression validationTroubleshoot system logs, Integration Event audit, and Workday Error Framework.
