Role Responsibilities: Oracle Functional Analyst
1. Functional Analysis
Work with HR Business Analyst and HR Process Owners to address and manage ADO tickets - incidents (break/fix), maintenance activities (such as data loads & upgrade testing), and system enhancements (changes)
Examples of activities across HCM Core and Talent & Performance
- Troubleshooting HCM system issues (example – errors entering lifecycle transactions, failed transactions)
- Support the transition and maintenance of Redwood
- HCM Functional Configuration – creating organizational hierarchy, business units, legal employers, department, locations, etc.
- Approvals/Workflows
- Autocomplete rules
- Mass Uploads – update data using load templates
Examples of HCM Core activities – create/manage:
- Absence configuration, eligibility profiles, absence plans, calendar events, work shifts, workday patterns, work schedule assignment
Journeys – create/manage
- checklist
- tasks
- eligibility profiles
- questionnaires
Examples of HCM Talent Management activities – create/manage:
- eligibility profiles
- succession plans
- goal plans
- performance templates
2. Reporting & Analytics
- Develop OTBI and BI Publisher (BIP) reports/dashboards
3. Security & Role Configuration
- Support and understand JDI Security and assist in unit testing Oracle security roles relevant to work assignment
4. Testing Support
- Prepare test scripts
- Participate in the execution of SIT testing
- Support SIT and UAT by with environment and data preparation
- Address defects from SIT and UAT
- Fix functional (processes/transactions)

5. Cutover / Promotion Support
- Support technical cutover to production task
- Monitor/Support production changes and validation post go live.
- Address post-go-live enhancements or defects.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with:
- Project managers (for timelines & risks)
- HR Business Analyst (for design alignment)
- HR Process Owner teams (for requirements & testing)
- JDI IT Technical resources
- Oracle Support (SR management)
- Oracle Customer Connect (Enhancement Requests, Discussions)
- Leverage Birlasoft internal network to design, develop, support, investigate or resolve work assignments
