Cyber Security Analyst

Job Overview

The role is a critical one in our organization, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and addressing potential weaknesses in our systems and networks. The individual in this role will be tasked with conducting regular audits, implementing security measures, and working closely with our IT team to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information. The Vulnera will also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and hacker tactics to effectively counter potential threats.

Essential job tasks

Responsibilities
•    Implement and manage the vulnerability management process for the organization.
•    Protect OT systems by implementing appropriate cybersecurity measures.
•    Manage and maintain network firewalls, including setting up firewall rules and monitoring firewall logs.
•    Work closely with the IT team to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
Required Skills
•    Vulnerability Management: The candidate must have a strong understanding of vulnerability management and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve security threats.
•    Cybersecurity for OT Systems: The candidate should have a deep understanding of cybersecurity for operational technology (OT) systems and be able to implement security measures to protect these systems.
•    Network Firewall: The candidate should have expertise in managing and maintaining network firewalls, including setting up firewall rules and monitoring firewall logs.
•    A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
Preferred Skills
•    Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
•    Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
•    Risk Assessment and Mitigation
•    Incident Response and Management
•    Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, ITIL and COBIT frameworks
•    Understanding of TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching
•    Experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering
•    Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
•    Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures
•    Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
