Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced E-commerce Testing Lead to manage the quality assurance lifecycle of our digital commerce platforms. The candidate should have hands-on experience in e-commerce domains including B2C, B2B, or D2C, and be proficient in leading QA teams across multiple workstreams involving web, mobile, backend integrations, and commerce workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the QA strategy and test plans for e-commerce implementations (e.g., Adobe Commerce, Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce).
- Lead a team of functional and automation testers to ensure quality across front-end, checkout, payment gateway, OMS, inventory, and fulfillment systems.
- Understand business flows like product browsing, cart, checkout, returns/refunds, and loyalty programs to ensure test coverage.
- Oversee test case design, test data management, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders and validate business-critical workflows.
- Ensure cross-browser, cross-device testing for web and mobile responsiveness.
- Validate integrations with CRM, ERP, PIM, middleware, and payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Paytab, CyberSource, Razorpay).
- Ensure performance, security, and accessibility testing as part of the release readiness.
- Own defect triage and drive resolution with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and architects.
- Mentor team members and enforce best practices for QA governance.
Domain Experience Required:
- Experience with commerce platform workflows: Catalog, Pricing, Promotions, Cart, Checkout, Payments, Shipping, Returns.
- Understanding of headless and composable commerce setups is a plus.
- Working knowledge of order lifecycle, warehouse management, and inventory sync.
- Exposure to agile delivery models, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
Technical Skills:
- Manual testing expertise.
- Tools: JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail & Postman.
- API testing & validation using REST/SOAP standards.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS for UI validation.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks, Git, Jenkins is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent (preferred).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
