Title: Sr Technical Lead-Data Engg
Area(s) of responsibility
Cloud Consultant
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Consultant to provision, configure, and operationalize the cloud infrastructure required for a data migration engagement. The role involves setting up the cloud environment, establishing secure connectivity to source systems, and ensuring the infrastructure is production-ready before handing over to the delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision and configure cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, security) on AWS, Azure, or GCP as per project requirements.
- Deploy application workloads, databases, orchestration services, and monitoring in the cloud environment.
- Establish secure connectivity to source and target systems — configure APIs, database connections, VPNs, firewall rules, and data transfer pipelines.
- Set up IAM roles, access policies, encryption (at rest and in transit), and compliance guardrails aligned to client security standards.
- Configure data staging areas (landing zones, raw/processed data layers) for incoming data extraction payloads.
- Validate end-to-end data flow from source systems into the cloud environment; troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
- Document the infrastructure architecture, configuration details, and operational runbooks for handover to the delivery team.
- Provide post-handover support during initial execution to ensure stability and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure management with at least 3+ years on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation/Terraform).
- Proven experience deploying data processing or analytics platforms on cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience integrating cloud environments with ERP systems via REST/SOAP APIs, JDBC/ODBC, or file-based extraction methods.
- Strong knowledge of networking and security — VPC design, subnets, security groups, NACLs, VPN/Direct Connect, SSL/TLS.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS, Kubernetes) for deploying application workloads.
- Familiarity with data pipeline and orchestration tools — Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks workflows.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001) for cloud deployments in regulated industries.
- Excellent documentation skills — infrastructure architecture, runbooks, operational handover materials.
Preferred
- Experience with Databricks on AWS or Azure.
- Prior experience deploying cloud infrastructure in Healthcare or MedTech environments.
- Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, or a related field. AWS/Azure/GCP professional certifications strongly preferred.
