AWS Architect - Job Description

Our innovative and growing company is looking to fill the role of AWS Architect. Thank you in advance for taking a look at the list of responsibilities and qualifications. We look forward to reviewing your resume. 

Responsibilities
Set up processes, services, and tools around cloud environments.
Execute cloud migration plans.
Select appropriate AWS services based on data, compute, database, and security requirements.
Assess enterprise workloads (Java/J2EE, .NET) for cloud fit and readiness.
Apply AWS architectural best practices.
Estimate costs and identify cost-control mechanisms.
Work with Kubernetes, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Packer.
Design and implement availability, scalability, and performance plans for AWS-managed service environments.
Ensure compliance with federal security requirements such as FISMA and FedRAMP and remediate security weaknesses.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance prior to the start of work.

Qualifications
Design architectural goals for cloud-based infrastructure and automation.
Author framework-level Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using configuration management tools such as Ansible (preferred) or Chef.
Expert understanding and hands-on experience in Application Lifecycle Management (build, deploy, test, and document).
Design and develop CI/CD architectures using tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo, with an understanding of application code lifecycle management using DVCS tools like Git.
Working knowledge of containers (Docker) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
Hands-on expertise with AWS services including:
VPC
Subnets
Network Access Control Lists (NACLs)
Security Groups
EC2 Instances
S3 Buckets
IAM
Route 53
Strong understanding of AWS configuration, security, and best practices.
