Description: 

Role: Java Production Support

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Support Mission-critical financial applications with sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII data)
  2. Monitor production jobs and ensure their scheduled execution
  3. Create Standard Operating Procedure documents
  4. Triage production issues and provide solutions as per Standard Operating Procedure documents
  5. Document problem, solutions in the ticketing tools & knowledge base
  6. Communicate appropriately & effectively with business, technical teams
  7. Work well under pressure with a methodical approach to problem solving
  8. Prioritize multiple tasks and manage/assign tasks between team members
  9. Monitor application health, perform application/service restarts as per Standard Operating Procedures
  10. Monitor, edit, create scheduler jobs
  11. Deploy and manage applications, services on Microsoft Windows and cloud environments

Primary skills that are must have for the candidate:

  1. Supporting Java/J2EE based applications involving Spingboot, Microservices
  2. Strong documentation, communication skills (written and verbal) and Analytical Skills
  3. Experience in any relational databases like MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server; Writing queries, understanding DB processes
  4. Motivated self-starter, able to work independently or as part of a team
  5. Experience with product lifecycle & deployments
  6. Experience working in Agile project
  7. Time management, Project management skills

Secondary skills that are good to have for the right candidate:                            

  1. Any of Job schedulers - Autosys or Visual Cron or Control-M or Ansible or Cron
  2. Any of the log analyzers – Splunk or Dynatrace or Datadog
  3. Any of the application performance monitoring tools like New Relic, AppDynamics or Dynatrace     
  4. Cloud, Microservices, Message Queues, NoSQL, CI/CD

Work hours:

  1. Should be able to work with distributed teams in different time zones at onshore, offshore
  2. Should be working in 24x7 model with rolling shifts
  3. Open to supporting the team during weekends/holidays as per the needs
