Title:  Technical Specialist-App Development

Role: Java Application Support

Experience: 5-7 Years

Location: Remote/Hybrid model

Job Responsibilities:

1. Support Mission-critical financial applications with sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII data)
2. Monitor production jobs and ensure their scheduled execution
3. Need to create Splunk or New relic dashboard as needed.
4. Can Document the necessary details in the Confluence page.
5. Document problem, solutions in the ticketing tools & knowledge base
6. Communicate appropriately & effectively with business, technical teams
7. Work well under pressure with a methodical approach to problem solving
8. Prioritize multiple tasks and manage/assign tasks between team members
9. Monitor application health, perform application/service restarts as per Standard Operating Procedures
10. Monitor, edit, create scheduler jobs
11. Deploy and manage applications, services on Microsoft Windows and cloud environments
12. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the code.

Primary skills that must have for the candidate:

1. Supporting Java/J2EE based applications involving Microservices
2. Candidate should be very good in coding J2EE technologies, JavaScript, HTML and SQL queries
3. Hand on knowledge in Splunk.
4. Hand on knowledge in New Relic
5. Experience in Kafka and RabbitMQ     
6. Strong documentation, communication skills (written and verbal) and Analytical Skills
7. Experience in any relational databases like MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server; Writing queries, understanding DB processes
8. Experience in frontend technologies Thyme leaf, jQuery, ReactJS.
9. Experience in any of the log analyzer tool and able to troubleshoot the issues quickly. (Splunk)
10. Experience in working on tickets, pulling the reports and providing the information based on SLA.
11. Motivated self-starter, able to work independently or as part of a team
12. Experience with product lifecycle & deployments
13. Experience working in Agile project
14. Time management skills.

Secondary skills that are good to have for the right candidate:                            

1. Any of Job schedulers - Autosys or Visual Cron or Control-M or Ansible or Cron
2. Any of the log analyzers –Dynatrace or Datadog
3. Any of the application performance monitoring tools like New Relic, AppDynamics or Dynatrace
4. Cloud, Microservices, Message Queues, NoSQL, CI/CD

Work hours:

1. Should be able to work with distributed teams in different time zones at onshore, offshore
2. Should be working in 24x7 model with rolling shifts
3. Open to supporting the team during weekends/holidays as per the needs
