Extensive experience in Production Supportwithin environments that utilize Linux and Unixservers. My primary responsibilities involve ensuring the smooth operation of production systems, troubleshooting incidents, and maintaining system uptime. I work closely with teams to manage and resolve critical incidents, leveraging various tools and methodologies to ensure timely resolutions and minimal impact on business operations.
In my role, I utilize a variety of tools, including Splunkfor monitoring and log analysis, PuTTY for SSH access to Linux/Unix systems, and WinSCP for secure file transfers. Additionally, I work with MOVEit and GoAnywhere to manage secure file transfers and automate workflows. I also use Snow for asset management, ensuring that all software and hardware are tracked and compliant.
A significant portion of my work involves Major Incident Management, where I respond to and resolve critical production issues swiftly. I work alongside cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, identify root causes, and implement solutions. I ensure that major incidents are documented properly, with clear action steps and follow-up for continual improvement.
I am also heavily involved in Change and Release Management, where I coordinate with development and operations teams to plan, test, and deploy changes in a controlled manner. I ensure that changes are thoroughly reviewed, tested, and communicated to all stakeholders, and that releases are deployed with minimal risk to production systems.
Overall, my role centers on ensuring system stability, minimizing downtime, and supporting seamless operations across multiple production environments, while leveraging various tools and best practices for proactive incident and change management.
