Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database servers (SQL Server / PostgreSQL / Oracle).
- Monitor database performance and tune queries, indexes, and database objects.
- Troubleshoot database issues such as slow queries, blocking, deadlocks, high CPU/memory usage, and replication/backup failures.
- Implement and support HA/DR solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, Clustering, Replication, Streaming Replication, Data Guard, etc.
- Perform regular DB maintenance activities: backups, restore tests, index maintenance, statistics updates, and patching.
- Support development teams with SQL query optimization, schema design, deployment scripts, and data modeling.
