Job Title: Performance Load Tester

Experience: 5-7 Years

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Performance Load Tester who will be responsible for designing and executing performance, scalability, and load testing scenarios to compare application behavior and resource utilization across on-premises and cloud (AWS/Azure) environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with testing tools, cloud architecture, and be able to analyze, interpret, and present comparative performance results to guide infrastructure and platform decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, and execute comprehensive load, stress, and scalability tests comparing on-premises and AWS/Azure environments.
• Work closely with cloud architects, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to set up test environments that mimic production conditions.
• Use industry-standard performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) for scenario development and test execution.
• Collect, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics (response time, throughput, resource utilization, latency, etc.) across different platforms.
• Identify and document performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement in either or both environments.
• Compile comparative analysis reports highlighting application behavior differences, resource cost/performance ratios, and scalability in on-prem vs. cloud.
• Collaborate with application owners to understand workloads and expected user behaviors for realistic test planning.
• Automate the performance testing process for repeatability and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Interpret results and present findings to technical teams and business stakeholders, translating data insights into actionable steps.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in performance, load, and scalability testing.
• Demonstrated experience with both on-prem and AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Proficient in one or more performance/load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and profiling tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, New Relic, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud migration, cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS).
• Skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting of performance results.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose infrastructure and application issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations.
