Senior IT Project Manager
Milan Italy
6 Months extendable 

The Senior IT Project Manager & Business Relationship Manager leads complex IT initiatives while serving as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams across Italy and other regions. This role ensures strategic alignment between technology solutions and business objectives, drives successful project delivery, and strengthens collaboration, transparency, and stakeholder engagement.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Lead end-to-end management of complex IT projects across all phases, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. 
•    Coordinate project activities with IT teams, business owners, vendors, and stakeholders. 
•    Monitor performance against objectives and implement corrective actions as needed. 
•    Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, risk and communication plans in alignment with SDLC and PMLC standards. 
•    Partner with leadership to secure resources and funding. 
•    Define project scope, timelines, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. 
•    Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications with analysts and architects. 
•    Provide regular status reporting, metrics, and executive-level communications. 
•    Manage vendor relationships and delivery accountability. 
•    Identify and manage cross-project dependencies. 
•    Ensure compliance with governance, audit, and internal control requirements.
•    Serve as the primary business relationship manager for regional stakeholders.
•    Support demand intake, prioritization, and portfolio alignment. 
•    Ensure initiatives deliver measurable value and ROI.
•    Advocate for business needs within the IT organization.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
•    8+ years of experience managing complex application, integration, and AI-driven technology projects.
•    Strong knowledge of SDLC and project management methodologies.
•    Experience independently managing mid-sized to large IT initiatives.
•    3+ years of experience supporting Commercial Insurance environments.
•    Skilled in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery approaches.
•    Experience with AI-enabled solutions, data pipelines, and automation technologies.
•    Proficiency with Project and Portfolio Management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
•    Demonstrated vendor management expertise.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
•    Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.).
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
•    CPCU designation or advanced degree preferred.
