Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, and maintain Cognos reports, dashboards, and data models using Framework Manager and Transformer.
- Lead or support migration and upgrade initiatives for Cognos environments (e.g., from Cognos 10 to 11).
- Analyze and optimize existing Cognos reports for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, leveraging DAX for complex calculations.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across BI platforms.
- Document technical designs, validation results, and user guide
Mandatory Skills
- 7–9 years of experience in Cognos development (Cognos 10/11).
- Strong proficiency in Framework Manager, Transformer, and Report Studio.
- Proven experience in Cognos platform migration and upgrade projects.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.
- Solid experience in Power BI, including DAX functions and performance tuning.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
