Educational Background – Any Graduate.
Experience- 7 + years.
Location-Pune/Bangalore/Noida/Mumbai/Chennai/Hyderabad.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instances, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies using tools like Always On, Geo-replication, and Azure Backup.
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and SQL Profiler.
Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or Azure Automation.
Collaborate with development teams to support DevOps pipelines and CI/CD for database deployments.
Implement and enforce database security, auditing, and compliance policies.
Participate in capacity planning, cost optimization, and resource governance in Azure.
Document database environments, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, with at least 2 years in Azure SQL.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016+, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance.
Proficiency in performance tuning, execution plans, and index strategies.
Experience with HA/DR solutions like Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and Log Shipping.
Knowledge of ITIL processes, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving.
