Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Azure + Wintel Engineer with a strong background in Windows Server (2012/2019/2022/2025 datacenter edition) environments. The role involves L2/L3 troubleshooting, close collaboration with multiple teams, and direct interaction with customers and Microsoft support.
Key Responsibilities
- L2/L3 troubleshooting of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025 Datacenter edition) environments.
- Diagnose and resolve Azure-related issues impacting Windows.
- Handle Active Directory tasks including:
- User access provisioning
- Group and permission management
- Authentication and access‑related issues
- Leverage Azure Networking knowledge (VNets, NSGs, routing, connectivity) to troubleshoot Wintel‑related issues.
- Work closely with Application, Database, and Infrastructure teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Raise and manage Microsoft Azure support tickets, including follow‑ups and RCA discussions.
- Automate daily operational tasks using PowerShell from both Azure and Wintel perspectives.
- Maintain clear documentation and operational handover notes.
- Own Windows issues end‑to‑end as a single point of contact, driving incidents from identification through resolution and formal closure, while proactively reviewing Azure infrastructure, suggesting improvements, and implementing actions to enhance stability, performance, and reliability of the environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server administration.
- Good understanding of Azure IaaS services related to Windows workloads.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and identity/access troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Azure Networking.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and Microsoft support.
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative, multi‑team environment.
- PowerShell automation experience is mandatory.
Good to Have
- Basic understanding of Terraform (not mandatory, but an added advantage).
- Exposure to Azure monitoring and logging tools.
