Title: Infor LN Solution Architect

As an Infor LN Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and presenting tailored Infor solutions to meet customer business objectives within their unique business environment. You will leverage your deep understanding of the Infor solution portfolio, customer business drivers, and existing IT landscapes to create feasible and value-driven solutions. You will guide customers through the entire solution lifecycle, from pre-sales through delivery and implementation, ensuring alignment with Infor's architectural principles and best practices. This role demands strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and business audiences, including C-level executives. You will be deployed operationally across multiple solution domains, often within a specific industry segment such as Distribution, Industrial Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, or Enterprise Asset Management.
High-Level Job Description (Typical Day in Life):
General:
- Serve as an expert and evangelist for Infor CE Applications and Technology, with a strong focus on Infor LN Multi-Tenant cloud Enterprise solutions and Infor Cloud Suites implementations.
- Maintain up-to-date product and technical knowledge of the Infor portfolio and roadmap for an industry and/or horizontal solution set.
- Apply industry sector knowledge to present solutions in a relevant business context.
- Break down complex problems into manageable components, facilitating clear communication at both business and technical levels.
- Present solution value propositions to C-level audiences, emphasizing business benefits over technical details.
- Apply Infor architecture engagement processes and tools effectively.
- Demonstrate knowledge of key industry standards for business processes, information models, and architectural models.
- Stay informed about IT industry architecture frameworks and approaches.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of business drivers and typical customer needs within a specific industry.
- Gather and meticulously document technical requirements.
- Conduct continuous research on emerging technologies and recommend strategic changes as needed.
- Assess existing systems architecture and collaborate with technical staff to propose and implement improvements.
- Design, build, and integrate information systems to meet the company’s and customer’s evolving needs.
- Present architecture and design concepts to diverse stakeholder groups.
Sales:
- Design, develop, document, and deliver solution architectures that directly address client needs and requirements.
- Lead architectural discussions with clients, explaining and refining proposed solutions.
- Determine the optimal solution approach, identify critical paths, and define a comprehensive solution roadmap.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, effective relationships with customers throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Ensure the practicality and feasibility of the proposed solution, ensuring continuity with the subsequent implementation project.
Delivery:
- Act as the primary point of ownership and accountability for the functional solution, ensuring its success.
- Leverage experience in delivering complex, cross-pillar solutions using Infor products.
- Proactively challenge requirements to maximize the value-add provided by Infor solutions.
- Manage and document changes to the solution architecture resulting from change requests.
- Ensure consistency and integration between the various solution components built by different teams.
- Actively promote and enforce adherence to design and development standards.
