Role and Responsibilities

Windows Active Directory working knowledge.
Installation and configuration of Active Directory domain controllers.
Deployment of Microsoft security hotfixes.
Upgrading the Active Directory environment following change management processes.
Managing system properties, policies, and services within the Active Directory structure.
Handling schema updates.
Managing Active Directory domain controller FSMO (Flexible Single Master Operations) roles.
Configuring and managing Group Policy Objects (GPO).
Adding, removing, and configuring Active Directory sites, site links, and subnets.
Installing and configuring DHCP servers.
Diagnosing and resolving issues related to the Directory Replication service.
Configuring and managing AD DNS services.
Creating or removing trust relationships.
Experience with AD disaster recovery and continuity planning.
Maintaining overall security of the Active Directory domain.
Conducting root cause analysis.
Understanding and managing Azure Active Directory.
Automating Active Directory processes using PowerShell scripting.
Excellent customer handling and presentation skills.
Analyze the existing Active Directory environment to identify technical and operational challenges.
Develop continuous improvement action plans.
Utilize migration tools (such as Quest Migration Manager QMM) or any third party tools to facilitate smooth transitions.
Migrate Active Directory domains from on-premises to cloud or between on-premises environments.
Troubleshoot migration-related issues.
Familiarity with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, web Single Sign-on (SSO), and OAuth.

Knowledge of Azure AD, Identity and Access Management. Migration from on prim to cloud.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. 
• Certifications relevant to the services provided (certifications carry additional weightage on a candidate’s qualification for the role)
• MCITP
• MCSA
• ITIL Foundation
