Windchill Integration Architect
Birlasoft is looking for Windchill Integration Architect is responsible for owning the end‑to‑end integration architecture between PTC Windchill PLM and enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, QMS, CAD, and middleware platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define overall Windchill integration architecture for PLM programs
- Determine appropriate patterns for: Real‑time vs batch integrations, Event‑based vs lifecycle‑driven publishing, API‑based vs middleware‑based integrations
- Ensure integrations are PTC‑compliant, scalable, and Windchill+ ready
- Design integrations for: ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, JDE), MES and downstream manufacturing systems, External applications and reporting platforms
- Architect solutions using: REST / OData services, Info*Engine, ESI (Enterprise Systems Integration), Middleware frameworks (TIBCO, MuleSoft, iLink, custom)
- Review and approve integration designs, mappings, and technical specifications
- Own object‑level integration mapping for: Parts, BOMs (EBOM / MBOM), Documents and visualizations, Changes, promotions, and lifecycle events
- Ensure alignment with PLM business processes such as: Release to Manufacturing, Change Management, EBOM‑to‑MBOM publishing
- Provide technical leadership to: Integration Consultants, Windchill Developers, Middleware teams
- Support SIT, UAT, production cutover, and hypercare
- Troubleshoot complex cross‑system integration issues in production
- Lead integration workshops and technical discussions with customer IT teams
- Explain integration trade‑offs, risks, and performance considerations
- Support presales by contributing to architecture, LOE, and SOW inputs
Required Skills & Experience
- Deep expertise in PTC Windchill PLM
- Strong hands‑on experience with: PDMLink (mandatory), ESI, Change Management, MPMLink (as applicable)
- Strong understanding of Windchill data model and object relationships
- Proven experience architecting integrations using: REST / OData APIs, Info*Engine, ESI, Middleware platforms
- Strong knowledge of Oracle / SQL Server
- Ability to design high‑volume, secure, fault‑tolerant integrations
- Typically 12–18 years of PLM experience with primary focus on integrations
- Experience with Automotive, Manufacturing, or Medical Devices domains is a strong plus
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring capability
- Excellent client‑facing communication skills
- Structured approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making
- Ownership mindset for integration quality and system reliability
