Title: SQL Server DBA - Sr Project Lead-Cloud & Infra Engg

As an L3 SQL Server DBA, you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining the SQL Server database environment, ensuring its performance, availability, and security, including tasks like database backups, recovery, tuning, and troubleshooting, while also contributing to database design, creation, and testing activities.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
Database Management:
Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server databases.
Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
Monitor and tune database performance.
Ensure data integrity and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
Provide technical support to users.
Develop and implement database policies and procedures.
Document database designs and configurations.
Performance and Optimization:
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Optimize database queries and stored procedures.
Monitor database resource utilization (CPU, memory, disk I/O).
High Availability and Disaster Recovery:
Configure and maintain high availability solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups).
Plan and execute database backups and restores.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Security:
Implement and maintain database security measures (e.g., user access control, encryption).
Monitor and respond to security incidents.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with developers to optimize database applications.
Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of SQL Server database architecture and internals.
Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and other relevant tools.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures.
Knowledge of database security principles and practices.
Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
