Windchill and Thingworx Lead

  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in ThingWorx and PTC Windchill customization

This role requires deep expertise in PTC technologies, enterprise integrations, Java-based Windchill customizations, ThingWorx development, and manufacturing business processes. The scope includes publishing approved manufacturing data from Windchill to Infor LN ERP and ThingWorx CWC, including mBOM, process plans, routing data, tooling, work instructions, feedback, and deviation management

Technical competences: (Required)

ThingWorx:

  • Skilled in basic and advanced Java, Webservices, JavaScript, Shell scripting, REST, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience in Complete PTC’s complete ThingWorx suite including but not limited to Navigate (10.x, 11.x and above), ThingWorx foundation, ThingWorx flow etc
  • Implement ThingWorx Connected Work Cell (CWC). Configure digital work instructions.
  • Design shop-floor operator experiences. Customize CWC interfaces and mashups.
  • Configure work instruction delivery mechanisms. Develop interfaces for:
  • Production execution, Feedback capture, Deviation management, Status updates
  • Integrate CWC with Windchill and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of ThingWorx Composer for building the ThingWorx applications
  • Good working knowledge on ThingWorx Platform Entities like Infotables, Things, Thing Shapes, Thing Templates, Mashups, Widgets, Datashapes, Datatables, ModelTags, Menus, Active Directory Services, Project package export / import, Session parameters etc
  • Experience in creating mashups and services, in integrating ThingWorx with Windchill
  • Experience in integrating ThingWorx with 3rd party Applications like ERP etc
  • Experience in writing Odata services for integrations, Experience in creating new ThingWorx Apps and dashboards
  • Experience in creating ThingWorx reports by pulling data from other external applications
  • Knowledge of user management in ThingWorx, Knowledge of tools like Postman Tool

 

  • Windchill Application
  • Experience with the latest versions of Windchill (e.g., Windchill 11, 12, 13.1) and ThingWorx (e.g., ThingWorx 9.7)
  • Knowledge of AWS IoT Connector and its integration with ThingWorx
  • Skilled in basic and advanced Java, Webservices, JavaScript, Shell scripting, SQL, HTML, CSS.
  • Knowledge of Windchill implementation in basic modules is must
  • Very skilled in PTC Windchill - PDM Link customization, XML, Database(SQL) programming
  • In depth knowledge and good experience in JAVA, J2EE, JSP, Java Script
  • Good understanding of basic PLM processes like BOM Management, Part Management, Document Management, EBOM, MBOM, CAD Integration, Configuration Management, Requirements management in PLM System.
  • Knowledge of PDM Link – CREO Integration, Knowledge about various integrations like ERP integration, CAD integration etc. will be added advantage
  • Experience in light weight generation, publication process, publishing etc
  • Knowledge of BOMs in Context management & BOM Handling
  • Basic knowledge of UML, Unix – administration.
