A Technical Lead for ITOM (IT Operations Management) is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining ITOM solutions, ensuring adherence to technical standards, and leading a team to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Design and Implementation:
- Design and deliver ServiceNow solutions adhering to technical standards and leading practices.
- Analyze and define system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions.
- Develop solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of ITOM engineers and developers.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Ensure team members are properly trained and equipped to perform their roles.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of ITOM principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience with ITOM tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Splunk, Datadog).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex ITOM issues.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and database technologies.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with other teams (e.g., development, operations, security) to ensure successful ITOM implementation and operation.
- Project Management:
- Manage ITOM projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Track project progress and identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ITOM technologies and trends.
