Role: Windchill PLM Test Lead:
Skills: Windchill PLM
Overall: 7-10 Years.
Key Responsibilities:
Test strategy and planning: Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for PLM modules like change management, Product data management. Etc.
- Team leadership: Lead and mentor the PLM testing team, allocating tasks, and providing technical guidance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and developers to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Quality Metrices: Monitor and analyse data quality metrics, identifying and resolving data issues.
- Test execution: Oversee the execution of test cases and automation scripts.
- Defect management: Identify, document, and track defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Reporting: Monitor and report on testing progress, quality metrics, and defect summaries to stakeholders.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for test plans, results, and process maps.
Required skills and qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT, and 4+ years of experience as Test Lead with a focus on PTC Windchill PLM testing and a proven ability to lead a team.
- Technical skills:
- Strong proficiency in Windchill PLM Functional and System Integration testing.
- Knowledge of Change Management, PDM Link, QMS , CAD Data Management CAD data, BOM, workflows, and product structures.
- Experience Windchill Upgrade and Migration testing.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure ADO).
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium , Toska).

- Experience managing a team of QA Engineers
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance best practices & methodologies
- Knowledge of PLM concepts: CAD data, BOM, workflows, and product structures.
- Familiarity with SQL, test automation tools, and scripting.
