Citrix / VDI Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Citrix / VDI Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support, manage, and evolve a large-scale Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure, with a strategic roadmap to AWS.
The role requires close collaboration with a large, distributed infrastructure and operations team, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational excellence of the Citrix VDI platform supporting critical business workloads.
The SME will act as the technical authority for Citrix VDI, providing hands-on support, design guidance, operational governance, and continuous improvement across the VDI ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Citrix VDI Platform Ownership
•
Act as the primary technical SME for the Citrix VDI environment across Azure and future AWS deployments
•
Own the availability, stability, and performance of the Citrix infrastructure supporting business users
•
Ensure adherence to enterprise standards, best practices, and security requirements
Design, Architecture & Cloud Enablement
•
Design and maintain Citrix architectures for Azure-based workloads (Citrix DaaS / CVAD on Azure)
•
Support future migration or extension of VDI workloads to AWS
•
Provide architectural input on:
o
Image management (MCS / PVS)
o
Resource sizing and capacity planning
o
High availability and DR strategies
•
Evaluate and recommend improvements aligned with cloud-native capabilities
Operations & Support Leadership
•
Provide L3/
