Transition Manager JD
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Strategy: Develop and lead the overall transition and transformation strategy, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and success criteria for global initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, business unit heads, regional leaders, and third-party vendors, to gain support, secure necessary resources, and maintain alignment throughout the transition process.
- Global Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing, diverse, and globally distributed team in delivery , subject matter experts, and support staff to execute the transition projects effectively.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks, issues, and challenges associated with global transitions and implement risk mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the progress and success of global transition projects. Provide regular status updates and reports to executive stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement efforts, capturing lessons learned from past transitions, and incorporate best practices into future projects.
- Budget and Resource Management: Oversee and control the budget for global transition projects and allocate resources efficiently to meet project goals.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services during transitions.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and internal governance standards during global transitions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in managing complex global transitions, transformation projects, or large-scale programs.
- Proven track record of leading global teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously across different regions.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile) and tools to drive project success.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci) and project management certification (e.g., PMP) are highly desirable.
- Experience in risk management, issue resolution, and problem-solving in a global context.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, make data-driven decisions, and manage budgets effectively.
- Knowledge of business process improvement techniques, Lean Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is an advantage.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align transition strategies with overall business objectives.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
