Title:  Cognos BI Sr Technical Lead-BI

Area(s) of responsibility

1. 6-8 years of industry experience supporting enterprise products for data analytics using tools like Cognos & sigma BI applications.
2. Strong domain expertise in databases and business intelligence.
3. SQL proficiency - Very good grasp on JOINs, Partitions, Window Functions, Aggregations, CTEs, Sub-queries etc.
4. SQL query performance troubleshooting and plan generation understanding, Strong SQL development experience with the ability to write complex and nested SQL queries.           
5. Develop Innovative and Visually Appealing Sigma Computing Dashboards and Reports that Provide Actionable Insights to Stakeholders.
6. Proficient in data modeling concepts & Ability to properly chart data into logical visualizations
7. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with multiple team/departments and co-ordinate issue triaging, diagnosis and resolution.
8. Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into functional specifications for the development of Cognos to Sigma BI applications.

    

9. Develop and maintain ETL processes for extracting, transforming and loading data from Cognos BI applications to Sigma BI application.

    

10. Design and develop Cognos & Sigma reports, dashboards and scorecards using Cognos Report Studio, Cognos Workspace Advanced, Cognos Business Insight Advanced, Sigma BI tool and migration tools.

11. Develop and maintain Cognos Framework Manager models, including designing and creating metadata models, creating and managing data sources, and defining security settings.
