Zuora RevPro (Revenue Recognition Professional) – Job Description

Role Overview

Zuora RevPro professionals specialize in implementing and managing Zuora Revenue (formerly RevPro) to automate and optimize the revenue recognition process. They ensure compliance with accounting standards like ASC 606 and IFRS 15, collaborate across Finance, IT, and business teams, and support financial close cycles.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Configure and manage the overall Zuora Revenue platform, including workflows, rules, and system maintenance.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Revenue Ops teams to assess and enhance RevPro setups for functional and process improvements
• Implement revenue recognition rules, SSP analysis, contract modification handling, journal entry automation, and system integrations with billing and ERP platforms
• Validate compliance with ASC 606 and IFRS 15 by designing and enforcing revenue recognition policies, internal controls, and audit readiness
• Support monthly/quarterly financial closes, including testing, RTB (run-the-business) operations, triage of bugs, and release management
• Guide end-user training, documentation, and support; act as an SME during audits and system reviews
• Develop SOPs, best practices, and monitoring standards; implement internal control compliance (e.g., SOX

✅ Required Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years hands-on implementing and using Zuora RevPro; 8+ years overall in Revenue Accounting/Finance Systems or Order-to-Cash roles
• Accounting Standards Knowledge: Strong expertise in ASC 606 and IFRS 15 principles
• Technical Acumen: Comfortable translating business requirements to functional specs and collaborating with developers and IT for integrations
• Controls & Compliance: Familiarity with internal controls frameworks (e.g., SOX) and audit processes
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field

• Experience with Zuora Billing, CPQ, and ERP/CRM integrations (Oracle, NetSuite, Salesforce)
• SQL proficiency to support data manipulation and report-building [
• Experience in subscription-based, SaaS, or multi-entity global environments
• Zuora Revenue certification(s)
