General Overview / Role Expectations
Birlasoft is looking for an experienced Microsoft Solution Architect to join its Next Gen Application Engineering Practice within the Digital Business Unit. The role is responsible for shaping, architecting and governing enterprise application solutions across the Microsoft technology ecosystem, with strong emphasis on cloud-native engineering, application modernization, DevSecOps and AI-enabled transformation.
The ideal candidate combines deep architecture expertise with strong customer-facing, presales and delivery leadership capabilities. The architect should be able to translate business requirements into secure, scalable and commercially viable solution architectures, lead RFP and proposal responses, support solution estimation and confidently present recommendations to customer stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
•    15+ years of experience in enterprise application engineering, including 3+ years in solution architecture or technical architecture roles.
•    Strong expertise in C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, microservices and modern application architecture patterns.
•    Good understanding of React or Angular and full-stack application architecture.
•    Strong knowledge of SQL Server and/or Oracle, data modelling and application data integration patterns.
•    Hands-on architecture experience with Microsoft Azure services such as App Service, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Entra ID, Monitor and Application Insights.
•    Experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes / AKS and cloud-native deployment approaches.
•    Experience with Git, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing and DevSecOps practices.
•    Demonstrated experience in customer-facing solutioning, presales, RFP responses, estimation and technical presentations.
•    Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking and architecture documentation skills.
