Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Oracle EBS Technical Consultant to support Cummins manufacturing-centric Oracle EBS AMS engagements. The role requires deep technical expertise in Oracle EBS R12, strong exposure to Manufacturing and SCM-integrated environments, and the ability to lead complex customizations, integrations, and production support in a large, highly customized global instance.
The consultant will act as a technical owner, work closely with Cummins business and functional teams, ensure system stability, and drive continuous improvements across manufacturing and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle EBS Technical (AMS Focus)
• Act as SME for Cummins Oracle EBS AMS accounts, owning end-to-end technical delivery.
• Lead design, development, and support of complex RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms, Workflows).
• Provide technical governance, code reviews, and adherence to Cummins/Birlasoft development standards.
• Mentor and guide junior EBS technical consultants.
Manufacturing & SCM-Centric Technical Support
• Provide strong technical support across manufacturing-heavy EBS modules, including:
o BOM (Bills of Material)
o WIP (Work in Process)
o Inventory (INV)
o Order Management (OM)
o Purchasing (PO)
• Support integrations and customizations impacting shop floor operations, work orders, routings, and material transactions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues impacting manufacturing and supply chain flows with minimal business disruption.
Integrations & Data Management
• Design and support EBS integrations with external systems using:
o Standard & Custom APIs
o Web Services (SOAP / REST)
o Middleware platforms (OIC / SOA / OSB – where applicable)
• Lead data conversions, inbound/outbound interfaces, and reconciliation activities.
• Ensure robust error handling, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms in integrations.
Production Support & Stability (AMS)
• Lead L3/L4 production support, root cause analysis (RCA), and permanent fixes.
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and perform SQL / PL/SQL tuning.
• Support patching, cloning, upgrades, and regression testing in Oracle EBS R12.x environments.
• Drive zero critical aged incidents, SLA adherence, and continuous service improvement.
