Role Purpose:
The WMS Functional Consultant is responsible for configuring and implementing Oracle Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionalities to support efficient warehouse operations. This role involves understanding business requirements, translating them into system configurations, and ensuring successful deployment and adoption of the solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze warehouse management requirements.
- Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and conduct fit-gap analysis to identify customization needs.
- Configure Oracle WMS modules, including rules, task types, and strategies to optimize warehouse workflows.
- Develop test scripts, perform system testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Prepare end-user training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure smooth system adoption.
- Provide issue resolution support during System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, and go-live phases.
- Assist in post-implementation support and continuous process improvement.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Hands-on experience in Oracle WMS setups, configurations, and transactions.
- Strong knowledge of Inventory Management and Shipping Execution modules within Oracle WMS.
- Experience in documenting business processes, configurations, and test cases.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
