Qlik Sense Developer – Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Qlik Sense Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Qlik Sense. The ideal candidate will have strong data modeling skills, a solid understanding of business intelligence concepts, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Qlik Sense applications and dashboards
- Create data models, ETL processes, and data transformations within Qlik Sense
- Connect and integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, cloud platforms)
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain reusable data visualizations and templates
- Troubleshoot issues related to data accuracy, performance, and user experience
- Implement security rules and manage access control in Qlik Sense
- Document technical specifications and user guides
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience with Qlik Sense development
- Strong knowledge of data modeling and scripting (Qlik load scripts)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
- Understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices
- Experience with APIs and data integration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in BI development or data analytics
Nice to Have
- Qlik certifications (e.g., Qlik Sense Data Architect, Business Analyst)
- Experience in data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Sigma development experience.
