Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Director – Data & Analytics COE Leader to establish, lead, and scale a global Center of Excellence (COE) for Data & Analytics. This role will drive enterprise-wide data strategy, innovation, governance, and delivery excellence, enabling business transformation through advanced analytics, AI/ML, and modern data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the enterprise Data & Analytics COE vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives
• Establish COE operating model, governance frameworks, and best practices across data engineering, BI, AI/ML, and GenAI
• Drive large-scale data transformation programs including modernization to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake)
• Lead innovation in advanced analytics, AI/ML, and agentic AI solutions for business value realization
• Build reusable frameworks, accelerators, and industry-specific solutions to improve delivery efficiency
• Oversee data governance, data quality, MDM, privacy, and regulatory compliance initiatives
• Partner with CXOs and business leaders to identify monetization and data-driven decision opportunities
• Drive global delivery excellence, ensuring scalability, standardization, and cost optimization
• Establish KPIs and success metrics for COE performance and business impact
• Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing global teams across data engineering, analytics, and AI disciplines
• Support pre-sales and GTM initiatives, including large deal solutioning and executive-level client engagements
Required Skills & Expertise
• Deep expertise in Data & Analytics ecosystem including Data Engineering, BI, AI/ML, and Advanced Analytics
• Proven experience in building and scaling enterprise Data & Analytics COEs
• Strong hands-on knowledge of modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Data Stack)
• Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, and emerging agent-based architectures
• Expertise in data governance frameworks, MDM, data quality, and regulatory compliance
• Strong understanding of data architecture patterns including Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric
• Leadership experience in managing global teams and large transformation programs
• Strong client engagement, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
• Proven track record in delivery management, P&L ownership, and business growth
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. Executive certifications in Data/AI, Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), or Enterprise Architecture preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in leading digital/data transformation for large enterprises or Fortune 500 organizations
• Exposure to industry domains such as BFSI, Manufacturing, Energy, or Healthcare
• Experience with advanced platforms/tools such as Mosaic AI, Snowflake Cortex, or similar AI ecosystems
• Strong consulting background with experience in strategy, advisory, and transformation programs
• Thought leadership demonstrated through publications, speaking engagements, or patents
