Job Overview
The Tools Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing the tools used within our organization. This role involves ensuring the availability, performance, and readiness of our toolset to enhance business processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of these tools. They will also be expected to troubleshoot any issues that arise, provide technical support, and work closely with other teams to ensure the tools meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain software tools to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the tools, including system failures or security breaches.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate tools and systems, ensuring seamless operations.
- Provide training and support to other team members on the use of various tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using and managing software tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools.
- Strong understanding of system administration, including system security and data management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with database management systems like SQL or Oracle.
- Understanding of network protocols and server configurations.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and principles.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
