Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement network infrastructure based on organizational requirements.
- Install and configure network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Monitor network performance, system availability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including hardware and software problems.
- Manage IP addressing, VLAN configurations, and WAN connectivity.
- Implement and maintain network security measures (firewall rules, intrusion detection).
- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in network operations and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in managing Severity 1 incidents involving Palo Alto, ASA firewalls, and Cisco ISE.
- Experience with Cisco FTD, FMC, and transformation projects (e.g., ASA to Palo Alto).
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect).
- Hands-on experience with VPN technologies (IPsec, GlobalProtect, Cisco AnyConnect).
- Knowledge of ACLs, NAT, traffic shaping, and L3 VPN configurations.
- Ability to monitor and correlate application-layer and network-layer metrics.Ability to work in 24x7 support environments and participate in on-call rotations.
