Area(s) of responsibility

OCI Database Administrator (DBA):

•    Deploy and configure Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) databases within OCI.
•    Manage and maintain ATP environments to ensure high availability and performance.
•    Monitor database performance and implement tuning adjustments to optimize query performance and resource utilization.
•    Analyze database workloads and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
•    Implement database security best practices, including data encryption, access controls, and auditing.
•    Ensure databases comply with industry standards and organizational policies.
•    Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to secure data loss.
•    Perform regular backups and conduct recovery tests to ensure data can be restored as needed.
•    Utilize automation tools and scripts to streamline database management tasks.
•    Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for database provisioning and management.
•    Set up monitoring solutions to track database health and performance metrics.
•    Diagnose and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime and service disruption.
•    Work closely with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support database-related needs.
•    Provide technical support and guidance on database best practices and performance optimization.
•    Generate reports on database performance, usage statistics, and cost management.
