Windchill Data Migration Consultant
Birlasoft is looking for Windchill Migration Consultant who will be responsible for hands‑on execution of PLM data migration activities into PTC Windchill, working under the guidance of a Migration Architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Windchill data migrations using Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM)
- Perform extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities from source systems
- Participate in Rehearsal migrations (RH‑1 / RH‑2 / RH‑3) and Production Migration
- Support Migration Architect in - Source data analysis, Object‑level validation, Attribute and relationship mapping
- Implement transformation logic and SQL scripts as per migration design
- Identify data quality issues such as duplicates, missing content, and relationship breaks
- Execute post‑migration validation checks
- Analyze WBM logs and staging data to identify migration issues
- Fix data issues and support re‑runs and delta migration
- Support production cutover and go‑live execution
- Participate in hypercare support for migration‑related issues
- Assist in knowledge transfer and migration documentation
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with PTC Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM)
- Working knowledge of WBM Extraction, Transformation, and Load utilities
- Experience with SQL (Oracle / SQL Server) for large‑volume data analysis
- Exposure to at least one non‑Windchill → Windchill migration is highly preferred
- Good understanding of Windchill PDMLink objects and data model
- Typically 3–5 years of PLM or Windchill experience
