Oracle EBS SCM Functional Architect

Role Overview:

The Oracle EBS SCM Functional Architect will serve as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for all Oracle E-Business Suite Supply Chain Management (SCM) inquiries from the customer. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing SCM solutions using Oracle EBS, driving process improvements, and proactively engaging with customers to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Implementation
    • Implement and configure Oracle EBS SCM & Manufacturing modules (Inventory, Order Management, Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing).
    • Analyze business requirements and create functional specifications.
    • Conduct gap analysis and recommend system improvements and industry best practices.
    • Provide solutions leveraging standard out-of-the-box processes where possible.
  • Customer Engagement & SPOC Responsibilities
    • Act as the SPOC for all Oracle EBS SCM-related inquiries from the customer.
    • Work closely with customers to understand business challenges and identify opportunities.
    • Build Point of Views (POVs) and proposals aligned with customer needs.
    • Proactively reach out to customers with innovative ideas and proposals to drive account growth.
  • Process Optimization & Standardization
    • Understand current supply chain processes and identify improvement areas.
    • Recommend and implement process standardization across multiple EBS instances.
    • Support EBS instance consolidation initiatives.
  • Cloud Migration Strategy
    • Develop strategy and roadmap for migration from Oracle EBS to SCM Cloud.
  • Testing & Documentation
    • Develop and execute test plans to validate configurations.
    • Document system configurations, workflows, and user guides for future reference.
  • Training & Support
    • Provide training and functional support to users and stakeholders.
    • Perform regular audits and assessments of Oracle EBS environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS SCM functional consultant with expertise in implementation, upgrades, and pre-sales solutioning.
  • Strong domain knowledge in SCM; Manufacturing domain expertise is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in configuring and implementing Oracle EBS / Fusion SCM / MFG modules
  • Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in preparing proposals and driving pre-sales activities.
