Required Telecom Domain Experience – 5+ Years (Mandatory)

 

The ideal candidate will be able to independently manage multiple deliverables and priorities in a fast-paced environment and quickly develop a clear understanding of the accounting and business needs of the back-office business teams. 

They must be able to communicate timely and effectively project status and provide clear recommendations for test case consolidation and prioritization. Candidate will need to create and foster working relationships to engage and evolve back-office involvement in the test function.

Required Telecom Domain Experience – 5+ Years

Job Duties

  • 5+ years in Quality Assurance/Testing with specialization in Telecom Domain covering areas e.g. Device Financing, Accounting, Service Accounting, Risk Management (Credit, Fraud, Controls), Tax, Business Assurance etc.
  • Experience in Amdocs, and or Ericson billing system.
  • Strong in MS SQL / Oracle (basic and Advance). Able to write SQL queries using Joins and able to validate data using it.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Cassandra Database to pull/validate the data using DB queries.
  • Strong experience in MS Excel-Vlook Up, Pivot & functions.
  • Working experience on Jira, qTest to manage requirements, defects and test cases.
  • Discuss, Review and Capture technical requirements from different cross functional teams.
  • Creating test scripts based on the requirements and run the scripts in SIT environment.
  • Prepare maintain and execute regression test scripts to validate and confirm the new changes.
  • Conducted extensive UAT testing on all the reports.

General Responsibilities and Skillset

  • Support new projects and programs - assessing impact to Back Office work streams and quickly assimilate the project knowledge and design direction.
  • Represent the Back-Office organizations on projects and programs, working closely with and knowing when to involve the business SMEs.
  • Facilitate requirement sessions, provide requirements, provide guidance on creating appropriate requirements, and provide appropriate success criteria.
  • Participate in design sessions and review technical documentation.
  • Create User Acceptance Test cases, Scenarios, and Plans. Communicate testing needs with appropriate resources and share results with work streams.
  • Understand use of test and defect management tools such as JAMA, qTest, Jira.
  • Provide recommendations on when to trade off functionality, and when not to trade off, and communicate to multiple audiences.
  • Communicate regularly to business partners about the impacts of upcoming changes and project deadlines.
  • Create process flows for future Back Office and system processes, as well as training material for new systems.
  • Work with the project management to ensure delivery of the project requirements.

Education, Minimum Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT in addition to accounting or finance, preferred but not required
  • Master's degree, preferred but not required
